My Mission Call!!!

My call came on Thursday Feb 25, but I had a concert that night, so I had to wait until Friday night to open it. Mom and Dad met me in Fillmore so that it was close to half the driving time for both of us.
The road has never taken so long to drive!!!
We opened at a Chinese Resturant in Fillmore, I am sure that everyone there thinks we were crazy. Dad brought the globe into the resturant just incase we didn't know where the country was in the world. But as soon as I opened it I said I know where this place is! Well that was the second thing that I said the first thing I said was I can't belive this, no way!!!
Here is my call, and my first Deutsch Das Buch Mormon from my wonderful roommate Guizella as soon as I got home that night at about 1 in the morning! I could not be more excited!

Opening My Mission Papers

We finally met in Fillmore, UT so that we could open my call. We were waiting for mom to make sure the camera was ready!
When I read the word Hamburg, I could not believe that was where I would be serving. I was afraid to say it out loud for fear that it would disappear.
Still in Unbelief
I would never tell anyone that Germany was where I would love to go, but I just have a further testimony that my Father in Heaven knows exactly who I am and where I am supposed to serve.

Weekend At Home!

I got to go home for Presidents weekend. It was so much fun. The whole family got to have dinner together, and we all got to play as well as see the cutest to kids on the planet, but then mom, dad and I also went to Midway to see the ice castles. It was amazing to see the formations in the ice.
Here is mom and dad. I love them, they are both so amazing.
I got to strike a pose in front of the ice. I was having a lot of fun. I thought it was funny that mom and I just wore sweatshirts, and dad had to put on his big coat. What can we say, mom and I just have hot bodies (hahaha).
This picture will be part of my next assignment for abstract photography. However, the coolest thing that happened this weekend, was that I got to meet with the bishop and stake president for my final interviews for my mission! And...we called and talked to the stake presidents executive secretary today, monday, and he said that the statis of my papers was, "Ready for Assignment"! So very very very soon I will know where I will be serving. I am really excited.

Adventures of the Portrait Assignment

I went out into the woods by myself to get the type of self portrait that I really wanted. It was quite a challenge to run in the snow and strike a pose within the 10 second timer that is on my camera.
This is a shot of me saying that I am crazy for climbing through this snow. Do you see how tall it is? I went to the other side of the cabin behind me to get the first shot that you saw. The things I will do for these photo assignments.
This is the picture that I actually used as my self portrait. I guess that I didn't even have to go play in the snow, but it was a very fun day out in the mountains. This pose is called half dancer, and it is just the best yoga pose to photograph, so that is why I choose it.
It was a very fun day that I got to have. I enjoyed every moment. Being outside in beautiful weather is priceless.
